Happy November 1st!
I was so into cooking today, I watched about five cooking shows in a row on the Food Network and made myself a chicken, veggie, egg and quinoa stir fry for lunch.
I can really see myself getting into cooking and being more creative with cooking. Today was a step towards that.
I’m not feeling too well as I stayed up very late last night- well, very early in the morning- in celebration of Halloween with my friends. I could try to force myself to do something. Like practice piano or work on my collage more, but I think I’ll let myself relax. And repair.
Snuggle up to my cats and a movie.
Because I’m beat.
Signing off exhausted,
Happy 1st of October!
I’m having a pumpkin scone (and tea and an apple) for breakfast in honour of it.
There’s something special about this time of year, this month. It’s where the mood shifts along with the weather. It’s a month of giving thanks (for us Canadians), a month of being able to justify hot chocolate and ill-fitting clothing, like oversized cozy sweaters. It’s a month of change and chill, but also of mystery and magic. All the Halloween TV specials start playing on repeat and suddenly it’s no longer considered dorky or childish to play dress up and make believe. Scaring people is not mean and stuffing your face with bags of stranger’s candy is deemed safe and the norm.
All of this really gets me thinking… of what a glorious month this is.
